The story of The Vine Revival began in the winter of 2021 when Tia Roberts felt a clear call to gather a revival prayer group in Sumner, Washington. On March 8, 2021, at 7 am and in 28-degree weather, four women came together on the streets of Sumner to pray. For over two hours, they lifted their voices in prayer, asking God to plant a vision of revival in their small city and to let it grow.

What started as a simple prayer group continues to this day—every Monday at 6 am, faithful hearts gather to seek God’s presence and direction. They named the group The Vine Revival, inspired by John 15:5:

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing."

The group held tightly to the dream of one day hosting a citywide revival event.

That dream became reality on Sunday, August 11, 2024, when the first Vine Revival event was held at Sunset Stadium in Sumner. The response was overwhelming— 2,300 people attended, supported by 150 volunteers ranging in age from 7 to 80 and representing 26 different churches.

The vision God had given—and so much more—came to life. The event was filled with worship, dance, testimonies, prayer, baptisms, and the proclamation of the Good News. It was a celebration of souls saved, hearts renewed, and lives transformed. Most importantly, it was a powerful demonstration of God’s presence and faithfulness.

It has been a joy to witness God’s incredible and humble people come together to bring His vision to life.
